 The Life As Shay Report:
This past weekend some of Hip Hop’s finest gathered to light up the stage for Powerhouse 2013 held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The headliner, Kendrick Lamar, was the talk of the show even before he made his appearance on stage. Fabolous took to the stage and dedicated some time to setting the record straight on “Who is really the King of New York,” another response to Kendrick’s Control verse. It is really looking like this verse will be talked about for years to come, we are already in a new season and it’s still gathering substantial buzz. Damn!
Check out Fabolous‘ response live from Powerhouse 2013 below:

Headlining Powerhouse 2013, this could have very well been considered shaky territory considering the explosive response from the Hip Hop industry to Kendrick’s Control verse. But in true gentleman form, Kendrick Lamar brought out the the “Queen of New York”, Lil Kim #BigKahuna. This took the audience for a loop as she performed Crush on You and All About the Benjamins alongside the Compton rapper.
P.S. I heard Meek Mill killed his set and topped it off with a guest appearance by Nicki Minaj. Meek brought out Nicki and Kendrick brought out Lil Kim. A funny coincidence considering that Meek was openly unsettled with Kendrick’s Control verse and Lil Kim is openly unsettled with Nicki Minaj-PERIOD.
Powerhouse 2013 was a show of proving who is the real #BigKahuna.
Others that hit the stage:
2 Chainz and Sevyn Streeter
 Nicki Minaj and Fab
 Trey Songz
Big Sean
 Meek Mill
