The Life As Shay Report:
NEW MUSIC from Future‘s forthcoming EP, Honest. “Move That Dope” is cold AF. They start the track quoting the famous line from Salt N’ Pepper‘s “Push It” and you can hear it in the background throughout the entire song. The beat is handed down by producer, Mike Will Made-It. The song feels like I’m jumping on a trampoline. I am not sure what that means but that’s what I get from it. The biggest surprise, Pharrell is not singing! He is on his slick-talking flow like everybody else on the damn song. My favorite verse comes from Pusha T, who is officially the Dope Boy ambassador of the century. Future is not singing either, I honestly didn’t recognize his voice without the high-pitched tone he usually deals out. Casino is cool on this track, only thing…he sounds just like Future would have sounded if he did his usual work. The beat is stupid, not sure if the song would feel the same without it, so if you’re feeling this song thank Mike Will Made-It first.
