The Life As Shay Report:
Oh Lawd! It’s about to be a producer battle this year… Hit-Boy came with some fire with his album “We the Plug” a couple of weeks ago…BUT, ya’ll forgot about Mike Will Made It? Don’t say you didn’t, ’cause I know you did.
Today, he drops the first single from his upcoming full-length project, Est. in 1989 Pt. 3. The new song, “Buy The World”, features Future, Lil Wayne, and Kendrick Lamar. We found out with the Miley Cyrus project that Mike Will is NOT a “one trick pony” with his sound. And this song is yet another shining example. When it comes on I feel like I was in a dreamy desert movie, somewhere out in the Wild Wild West. The beat has a lone-ranger, cowboy, heart-of-a-Lion feel to it. You just want to go “Buy The World” before you hear a single word.
Then you hear Future crying and whining and it’s like “Yea, I feel it… I feel the inspiration. I’m motivated.” Then Lil’ Wayne comes on…he was cool. His voice was very fitting for the track, that’s about it. The man doesn’t do much for me these days. And then Kendrick Lamar comes on and I’m like…”Well Damn!” Still got bars for days, I thought I heard it all…somehow he is still finding different ways to tell us about Compton. He adds layers to the track mane, a little animation is thrown in to please the senses.
Can I get it on repeat.
YOU BLASTIN’ OR PASSIN’ PEOPLE?
