BET AWARDS 2013 Countdown: This Year’s Best Collab #MO’FIYAH

Hello Folks-The Life As Shay Report is back!
We are one day closer to the 2013 BET AWARDS Broadcasting live this Sunday, June 30, 2013 from Los Angeles’ LA Live.
This Edition of our Countdown highlights the nominees for ‘BEST COLLABORATION’!
Yup, that’s right…Collab, Team Effort, One for All and All for One, Dream Team, ‘We’re All in This Together’ Type Situations.
And the Nominees Are:
No Lie2 Chainz feat. Drake
ProblemsA$AP Rocky feat. Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar
Pop ThatFrench Montana feat. Lil’ Wayne, Drake and Rick Ross
Poetic JusticeKendrick Lamar feat. Drake
Suit and TieJustin Timberlake feat. Jay-Z
MercyKanye West feat. Pusha T, Big Sean and 2 Chainz
WOW! Now this category is a close race. Close your eyes and pick one-each are deserving in their own right. But let’s get technical. Three artists appear on this list twice or more: Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar
That there is an indication that the industry chose them to rise above the others as some of the hottest of the year- after all, you don’t bring a “sleeper” on your track for a collaboration…You want #MO’ FIYAH! And the repetitive appearance of these few key artists on this list proves that the Best Collab should include at least one of those artists- knocking out Suit and Tie in the first round.
Let us not soon forget that Suit and Tie, the single, did morph into a whole tour and reintroduced Justin Timberlake to the game with a BANG.
Next up, Mercy had us in the clubs trying to sing like the deep auto-tuned voice on the chorus–yup, you weren’t the only one! Cool track and video.
Between the remaining collabs- Poetic Justice was outstanding lyrically and actually single-handledly  assisted in a whole wave of women getting their “Poetic Justice” braids on, were you or someone you know a victim of this trend? Just sayn :).  Not only that, but the video broke the stereotype of the normal fair-skinned lead model and jump started a young woman’s career.
However, No Lie had us ALL singing like whining babies “No lie, no lie, no lie-E-I-E-I.” Catchy tune here.
Pop That was a summer smash that rocked for damn near a WHOLE YEAR, too bad they ran into some copyright infringement issues with Uncle Luke-“Keep it clean guys.”
But the mother of this year’s collaborations has to be Problems by A$AP Rocky feat. Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar.
If I do say so myself, all things considered: composition, sound, popularity, leading and featured artists and video…PROBLEMS WILL BE BET’S WINNER.
Also notice that this song aligned the same 3 artists that appeared on this list multiple times.
A coincidence, I think not. #Mo’ Fiyah I say!
